Emma, often called Emma Lou by her foster family is a sweet Black Labrador that was born in June of 2015.  Emma was found in a yard in Dallas, but the good Samaritan whose yard it was could not keep Emma so they reached out to Dallas Animal Services and watched her during her wait time.  In the meantime they reached out to the Pup Patrol who stepped up to help Emma.  Emma was underweight, her whole body overtaken with Demodex mange, Pyoderma and scared to death.  Emma would not walk out of the shelter on her own out of sheer terror so she had to be wheeled out in a wagon.  Once Emma started to receive treatment her personality started to shine. Her fur is coming back nicely and she has gained some weight. Emma is a sweet, shy girl that does great with other pups, kids and cats.  Emma is house trained with a dog door and crate trained.  Emma would be a perfect addition to any family, she is low key and loves to hang out with her family members.  Emma walks well on a leash and is learning some manners.  Emma does need daily walks to keep her mind busy or she will get into trouble chewing.
