Coco Bear is a super sweet Old English Bulldog who is estimated to be about 5 yrs old and she currently weighs approximately 62 lbs. She is a wonderful companion who likes to lay down anywhere close to her person and will follow you around the house to be near you.  She is very loving, easy, loves attention, likes to chew on her rope and gets along with other dogs. Coco Bear loves to meet new people and is very social.  She doesn't need a crate when left home alone, she will just snuggle on her bed and sleep or play with her rope until you come home.  She doesn't need a lot of exercise, she will be happy with a 15-minute walk or some interactive playtime in the house will do as well.  She'd be great as a second pup or an only pup companion.  She needs a family that will be 100% committed to her, will take good care of her, and that will love her forever.

Coco Bear was surrendered to DFW Pup Patrol Rescue by her previous family where, unfortunately, they only used her for breeding purposes until her health declined; she had major skin, ear, and eye problems, and when we got her spayed her uterus was loaded with cysts.  We is now back to being a healthy happy girl and the only ongoing health issue at this time is she will most likely always need daily eye medication.  She has a condition called Keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS).  It is a condition that is also commonly referred to as "dry eye." The medical term means inflammation of the cornea and surrounding tissues from drying.  Per our veterinarian, her condition is a chronic and possibly permanent KCS, Artificial tears with lubricant must be applied 3-4 times a day or as much as daily possible to keep the eye moist, and she also needs to currently stay on Optimune (Cyclosporine) drops or ointment.  This is used as a topical eye treatment for immune diseases of the cornea such as Keratoconjunctivitis sicca (dry eye), pannus and chronic superficial keratitis in dogs.
