Ginger Lou is an adorable Pointer? Lab? Hound? mix who is highly trained. We can’t fathom how this lovable little girl found herself homeless , and I guess we’ll never know. But what we DO know, is that Ginger would do best as a second dog as she LOVES to play in the back yard for hours! She is kind and gentle with little dogs, but really comes to life with medium to larger dogs as she will run and roll around as long as you will let her. Once inside, she is quiet and obedient. As her foster, I would “consider” a home without another dog as long as Ginger Lou has children to play with and a dog park to take her to. She does not need crating. She sleeps quietly at night, and will stay quiet and calm if you are gone for several hours. We would not want to see her left alone all day without another companion dog. She is fantastic with children. She is a ball-catching-frisbee-catching kind of dog. SUPER fun!! Someone taught her NOT to jump up on children or adults, and even if she gets excited and “almost” forgets, she immediately corrects herself without you saying, and sits herself right down. She is also a snuggler. She will sleep and snuggle with an adult or child in their bed all night, or if told, will sleep only in her doggie bed. Our entire family including the grandkids, is in love with her. It will be difficult for us to say goodbye, but part we must, or we cannot help the next rescue in need. Ginger is estimated to be about 2 years old and weighs 52 lbs. You will love every inch of this beautiful girl!
