River needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
River is a sweet Lab mix girl that somehow found herself on the euthanasia list of a local kill shelter! How that happened we have no clue because this girl is amazing! She is about 2 years old and weighs about 50 lbs. She has been trained....she can sit and lay down on command and walks great on leash. She LOVES other dogs and will play and play. She is very submissive with assertive dogs and humans. She has been around a cat and did great. She has lots of energy but is content to hang out with her human too. She loves to splash around in water. She never jumps on people and would be a great dog to have around children. River's one caveat is that she hates to be contained. She does not do well in a crate. (We are working on that with her.) She is fine being left out while her person is gone if she has another doggy friend with her and has access to the outside via a doggy door (with a secure, fenced in area of course.) Want to meet her? Keep reading to find out how.
