Elton was saved in the summer of 2018 after finding himself in a rural high kill shelter. The volunteers there absolutely fell in love with him and asked Pup Patrol to help him. How could we say no to that adorable face?! He was taken to the vet and had to have almost immediate surgery to fix an infected wound. From there we found out he was high heartworm positive. Months later he is healthy, happy, and heartworm free and is ready to find his forever family! Elton is super adorable with that wrinkly face and all his expressions. He is about 50 lbs so a nice, medium size. The vet estimates him to be about 4 years old. Elton gets along great with all dogs, is fine with cats (sometimes he does try to play with them though), has been around caged chickens and doesn't seem to care about them at all, and is great with all people. He is house trained, and is crate trained but he doesn't care for it much. He is not destructive so can be left out when his people aren't home.
