Yukon Pete is a very affectionate pup.  He is a great medium sized boy, about 45 lbs, who is a little under 2 years old.  He was originally rescued from a home that was involved in illegal activity and brought home to a loving family with children ages 3 and 10.  We acquired Yukon when the family moved to a farm.  They were not able to keep him from chasing after their free range chickens, so we stepped in as foster pawrents thinking we could find the perfect family in "the big city".  He is smart and easily trained.  His veterinarian has documented what a great family pet he will make.  He loves his kennel and retreats to it on his own when ready for bed at night...such a cutie. Yukon gets along with other dogs  (small and large) but not sure about cats.  We have had him in our home for close to a year now.  Our 12 year old Scottish Terrier isn't happy to have him here and often lets him know by biting. The relationship works only because he is submissive and tries his best not to "upset" her.  Yukon is a great dog for a home that has a dog(s), kids, or as an only.  We are determined to patiently wait for the perfect family to show up for this guy...he deserves the best!  We will do a meet and greet and home visit with the right family and are asking a re-homing fee of $100.
