Sir Francis of Plano aka Cheesemo is looking for his forever home. He is estimated to be about 5 years old and weighs 11 lbs. He will require a medical follow up for a previous bladder stone issue, and is currently on prescription urinary food. When he first arrived in the rescue he was underweight from intestinal parasites and had a cluster of bladder stones. He had surgery to remove the stones and after a month had to have another surgery to remove a stone that was not seen during the first one. The adopter will be responsible for taking him for a follow up with a vet of their choosing to determine if he will need to continue with his prescription food. Francis can be nervous when meeting new people, but once he warms up he will become your little shadow. He LOVES to cuddle next to his people. He loves walks and enjoys playing with other dogs at the dog park. He has gone to doggy daycare as well and did great. He would be good in a home with another dog, or if he will be an only dog it would be great if he could get some social time with other pups sometimes. He can be a little possessive of his food when other dogs are around, but will eat calm and quietly in his crate if he doesn’t feel he needs to protect his food. He will do best in a home where he is not alone for extended periods of time. He likes to have his humans around. Francis is crate and house trained. He loves to sleep in the humans’ bed though with a good blanket to cuddle under.
