Adoption info can be found in the last paragraph of this pet's profile or by visiting this direct link: https://www.dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption Emma Kate is a shy but very sweet Chocolate Lab mix gal that was born in August of 2021. She currently weighs about 38 lbs. Cuddling with her people and playing with other friendly dogs are her absolute favorite things to do, so she will need at least one other dog in her home that also likes to play and can show her the ropes. Her home should offer a calm environment with gentle handling. Emma takes a little bit to warm up to new people and situations, so a slow, patient and understanding type of approach is needed when any visitors come to her home. It takes her just a bit longer to feel comfortable with men than women, but not long at all once she knows the man will not hurt her or scare her. Children are not recommended; we believe children were not nice to her when she was younger and she has reacted quickly and negatively to them. She has been around cats and is fine with them. Emma is working on crate and potty training and coming along nicely with both, but will need a home that can help her continue learning. She hasn’t had much experience on leash so would also benefit from some leash training.
