Kenzie is an 11 year old sweetheart of a girl. She was initially adopted from the rescue in 2011 when she was just a few months old, but she was picked up by the animal shelter this year and we don't know what happened to her in between. Since her microchip had never been registered to the adopter and no one claimer her, they contacted us and we went straight to pick her up. Kenzie is a really sweet girl and loves affection and being given attention. She will curl up beside you or in your lap, or even just sit contentedly at your feet...she just wants to be close. She has had a recent dental and is current on all her vaccines, and the vet says she is in good health. She weighs 17 lbs and is a beautiful silvery-gray color. Her coat has a little curl to it and is very shiny. We think she might be a Schnauzer mixed with maybe Poodle or Maltese. Whatever the mix is, she has a beautiful face with big, soulful eyes. She has a long body and short, little legs - think Dachshund - but only for the low-rider look.

Kenzie is house and crate trained. She comes running when you call her and it is the cutest run, like she can't get to you fast enough! She will look up at you with those big, brown eyes and you know she is saying "Please pet me!" She doesn't care about toys but loves a good Nyla bone to chew on. Her favorite sleeping position is the dead cockroach...flat on her back with all four feet up in the air. She gets along with other dogs, but we feel she would be happiest as an only dog since she wants all the attention. Kenzie would probably do best with no small children. She is an easygoing dog and would make a sweet companion for the right family - we hope we can find that perfect fit for her soon!
