One look into Rusty’s eyes and you quickly realize all this sweet boy wants is to be someone's treasured companion for the rest of his life.  This precious boy was rescued from a back road where he was dumped and left to starve and fend for himself.   From the second I met him, he's truly one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet and has such a wonderful personality.  Rusty is a shepherd mix, approx. two years old, weighs 59 lbs and is considered full grown.  He's current on all of his shots, microchipped and scheduled to be neutered soon.  He’s heartworm positive, has been started on the slow kill method, is doing great and expected to be just as healthy and happy as any other dog.  Rusty’s quickly learning to walk on a leash, and is in the process of being crate-trained and house-trained (which is already going really well).  He gets along great with everyone, dogs, cats, children, and even vets, too!  Rusty is a very laid back and gentle dog and content to just be near you even if it’s to curl up at your feet while you’re working or lie beside you to watch tv.  You can tell by the way Rusty interacts with everyone that he’s going to be one of the most loyal and devoted companions to the lucky family who adopts him.  This special boy deserves a family of his very own where this time forever means just that…forever… where he’ll never be abandoned again.  If you’d like to find out more about Rusty, please call or email Christye at (214) 577-9504 or christyedavis62@yahoo.com.
