Please consider fostering me until I can find my furever home!!! Hi, my name is Bella and the vet said that I weigh 14 lbs and he thinks I am a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher mix. I was born 09.11.09; I know that day sounds bad, but I am a very good dog. Unless left alone for long periods of time (8 hours or more) I am house trained, get along well with most dogs, even bigger dogs, and I love to play and run. I am, however, a little scared of more aggressive male dogs. I am even okay with non-aggressive cats; I’ll admit a hissing sound may scare me, but otherwise I don’t chase them. Once I know they are part of the family I don’t bother them at all and I just need to be introduced a time or two. I am also very good with small kids. I will sit for treats and I have always heard that I am a smart dog and a very pretty one too. I am not a finicky eater; in fact, I like most doggie foods. My favorite thing to do is sit in the lap of my owner and get pets. At night, I like to sleep in my doggie bed at the end of my owner’s bed and rarely move until it is time to get up in the morning. I don’t bark a lot unless someone knocks at the door and I’ll be quiet as soon as I know my family is okay with whomever is at the door. I like baths and showers and I don’t mind being in a kennel when traveling. I do not like being left alone for long periods of time; it makes me sad and I get depressed. It is very important that I am part of the family because I don’t like being ignored and I am really affectionate. If I get really scared due to an aggressive dog, or I get overly excited over something, I tend to roll over and am quite submissive. Okay, okay, this is a negative, but then again, no dog is totally perfect; just call me curious George. I recently moved to a new house that has an iron fence and I am just small enough to sneak out between the fence rails. I didn’t do that before because I had a secure area, but now that I can see the other side I want to go explore and tend to leave my yard. So, I do need a secure back yard that I can’t get out of on my own. If you are interested in sweet little me, please contact DFW Pup Patrol Rescue at info@dfwpuppatrol.com. My adoption fee is $200. I am spayed, am current on all of my vaccinations, am heartworm negative, on a monthly heartworm prevention that lasts for six months, and microchipped.
