IMPORTANT NOTE: Please click on “Read More about this Pet” at the bottom for additional information regarding this pet and adoption details. PLEASE CONSIDER FOSTERING ME UNTIL I CAN FIND MY FUREVER HOME!! Meet Emmitt, a Pointer/Lab mix pup who is approximately 3 years of age. He is the absolute sweetest dog! He loves to cuddle and loves affection and attention. Emmitt is great in a social setting with other dogs, but he would do best in a home where he is the only dog as he does not like to share anything with another. Emmitt is smart, obeys well, and is housetrained. He minds stern commands, but gets scared if he is yelled at. He knows when he's been a bad boy and knows when he is good. When he is first in a new place, his puppy tendencies may come out. He hasn't chewed on anything important, but he can get nervous in new places and environments and may get into things like pens, toilet paper, or plastic bottles. He would do good with additional obedience training. He loves daily walks! Emmitt eats twice a day. If you give him the command to wait, he will sit until you put the food in the bowl and tell him it is ok to eat. He does have a habit of inhaling his food, so an upside down bowl in the middle of his food dish will help him to slow down! Emmitt is a loyal and dedicated pup that will make an excellent companion dog and he enjoys including everyone in on the fun and with his attention!
