He is an 8 pound, 1-½ to 2 year old wire-haired terrier mix and is definitely a cuddler. He has a beautiful black and white coat and big brown eyes. Shaggy is playful and enjoys toys and loves to run in the backyard with our other dogs. His favorite pastime though is discovering a pile of pillows that he can arrange into his own personal nest and then climb all the way up to the top, snuggle in, and be King of the World! He will stay like this for a long time and be perfectly content. Shaggy is crate trained and housetrained and is just a delightful little boy to have around. He loves for you to hold him and let him snuggle up against you, but he is very stingy with puppy kisses. Also, he is not much of a barker; will only join in when our other dogs are barking at something. He is a very personable little dog and is not afraid of new people but he is reserved at first. He is very intelligent and picks up a new routine very quickly; he has already mastered the doggie door and pretty much just moved in and made himself at home. He will be perfect for some one who does not want a high energy dog; he is just so much fun to have around. All of our adoptable pups have an adoption fee of $200, regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 6 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention.
