Asteria is approximately 4 to 5 years old and is a beautiful Australian Shepherd.  She was born with deformed eyes that required surgery and she cannot hear, but that does not stop her one bit!  We think she was a product of bad breeding when 2 merle pups were bred together.  Her sense of smell is very powerful.  Once you walk in the room she lifts her nose and smells her way to you.  She is very laid back and loves to play if you lay on the floor next to her.  And is this girl smart!  Asteria does well with small dogs, but bigger dogs make her nervous.  We think she would be just fine with kitties.  She walks well on a leash, but needs some guidance so she won't run into anything in unfamiliar places.

Asteria will make a great companion with her special human(s).  She just wants to be loved and sleep at your feet.  When you're not at home she will sleep in her dog bed and patiently wait for you to return.
