This cute little pit/lab mix was found in our back yard. We are not able to keep him but would love too. He is very sweet, good with people. We believe his is 1 to 18 months and weights about 40 pounds. We do not believe he will get any bigger. He has been fully vetted and neutered. Heartworm negative! He has a few scars on his face that may never go away completely. We believe those scars are from his weeks on his own but he could have been a bait dog as well. He was never socialized so everything is new to him. Ceiling fans, air conditioner, icemakers, etc. He is getting better everyday! He is great with other dogs and would love to have another dog friend to play with but can entertain himself as well! He is very timid so and new people usually make him run and/or bark. It takes him a little while to warm up and get to know you but once he does he will be your “furever” friend. He is potty trained and can go hours without needing to go out. He has been left alone for eight hours during the day and never had an accident. He is really good inside and doesn’t get into things. He eats really well and eats quickly. He can sit for his treats and is doing much better with a leash. We are taking him to puppy training now and he is responding well. He will be easy to train once he adjust to his fears. Buster loves toys and chasing a ball but he haven’t convinced him he needs to bring it back yet. Besides being a little timid he also knows how to climb a chain link fence. We have worked on this and he is no longer jumping, but that doesn’t mean he might not try it again in a new home so a privacy fence would be better for him. He doesn’t seem to mind the rain and likes water. He does great with baths! Buster is a very sweet dog and we don’t feel he will ever be aggressive but we think he would be better with older children. It you are interested in adopting Buster you can contact me by phone or email. We will want to screen a new family for Buster and require a home visit. We just want him to find a great forever home with a family that understands him and continue to work with him so that he will continue to be the great little guy he is. Ramona Peterson
