Oreo is a 1 to 1-1/2 year old male Cocker Spaniel who is approximately 20 lbs. Oreo was found wandering the streets and hasn’t been able to find his way back home, so he is looking for the perfect new furever home.  He is working on learning to potty outside, which he does most of the time….but still has an occasional accident inside. He has been neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations.  Oreo is great with all people and other dogs and he has a submissive temperament.  He has not yet been observed around kitties yet.  He is gentle when taking snacks from your hand and is not food aggressive.

Oreo has an attention span of about 20 seconds…he pulls all the toys from the toy basket and plays with each for just a few moments before moving onto his next adventure.  He loves to run with his foster brothers in the yard, play tug with the toys and will retrieve toys and balls all day.  In his foster home Oreo is supervised as everything is a toy to him. When not able to be supervised, he is kenneled or kept in an air conditioned/yard accessible area (dog door) with the other dogs. Oreo prefers to sleep in the bedroom with his foster parents, but will sleep in a kennel if he has to…(he will make it clear that he prefers to sleep in your bedroom).

The most difficult problem with Oreo occurs when you are trying to get dressed for work…he tries to undress you as fast as you try to put your clothes on; you have to be quick about putting your shoes on too unless you are looking for exercise to go fetch your other shoe back….we are working on what is a toy and what is not :>.

Oreo would be best in an active home with plenty of people and other dogs to play with.  He will require a family who has the time, patience, and commitment to help guide him and provide him structure and consistency.  We hope you will consider adopting Oreo, he will be a loving and entertaining addition to your home.
