Hello, My name is Sandy and we think I’m a 3-4 year old Cocker Spaniel Mix (possibly with Golden Retriever) and I weigh about 35 lbs. I had a family, but my family moved and forgot to take me with them. Fortunately some nice neighbors realized that I was left all by myself in the backyard and called for help. I now live with my foster Mom and Dad while I wait for a new family to take me home. I’m very good at home and use the potty outside (we have a dog door), I get along great with my foster dog brothers and don’t mind sharing my foster Mom’s lap. I am a little pushy in that I will wiggle my way into the best position for proper petting. I have a very favorite squeaky toy..want to come and toss it for me?
I love to be petted and have my belly rubbed, but my old family was sometimes rough with me, so I need my new home to understand and give me a bit of time so I will know that I will be safe and loved. I would do best in a home without small children, but am fine with older ones.
My foster Mom says I am a Velcro dog as I follow her everywhere, I know she and my foster Dad are safe so I get them to rub my tummy as much as possible.
I don’t need to be crated during the day, I sleep on a dog bed at night, but would rather sleep in bed with you (foster mom says there is no more room in her bed :<).
I know how to sit (most of the time) and am learning the other things that People seem to want us to learn , but it’s ok as I get treats while they think they are teaching me :>.
I hope you’ll consider me as your next family member, I promise to watch out for you and keep you company always.
