Here is our sweet Poodle/Bichon (we think?) mix, Tess.  She is about 3 years old and weighs 14 pounds now.  She is a party poodle... so a mix of black and white – she is black everywhere except her front chest and the bottoms of two front legs.  If she had been a boy, I would have named her Tuxedo!  She is already house-trained and crate-trained and uses our doggie door or will even ring the bells at the back door when she wants to go outside.  Tess is a very smart girl and learns things quickly.  She gets along great with our other dogs – she actually tries to mother everyone.  She loves to play with her toys and she has a favorite – a 4 foot long turquoise blue, plush chiweenie dog that she loves to drag outside with her; it is so funny watching her figure out how to get it thru the doggie door!  Tess is very patient though and won’t give up until she has it out there with her.  Sweet Tess is a loving dog and she loves getting attention and affection from you, but she is still a bit shy with people she doesn’t know.  She has come a long way since we have been fostering her, so I know she will love her new family as well – it just may take her a little time to feel comfortable in her new home.  She is so worth the wait though!
