Hello- I am estimated to have been born approximately 05/06/13 and am about 13 pounds of pure cuteness! Ok, I’m a boy and usually they say boys are handsome…but really I am just darn cute! Yup…just call me the cotton ball of love. I get along just fine with my foster dog brothers and sisters and a couple of those guys are BIG. If they won’t play with me, I am happy to attack some of the toys or bones out of the toy basket. My most favorite of all things to do is to lay in foster Mom or Dad’s lap for major cuddling. My new family needs to be able to pet me and rub my belly, and they need to know that if they stop I will wave my paws and wiggle to let them know they aren’t done yet! I like to get treats, run and hide them and come back and see if you’ll give me more! My foster Mom says I am supposed to sleep in a crate at night, but I convinced her that she needs me to sleep next to her in bed and keep her warm and safe; besides, cuddling is something I am very good at!! I will protect her and be quiet all night. I may be small…but I have a mighty bark that will scare the biggest monsters away! Foster Mom says I am good about going potty outside, but if you get me too excited or yell at me I might have some submissive dripping, so it's important please to remain calm, especially when you've just come home, until you've taken me outside to empty myself out. I did have heartworm, but have successfully completed the treatment and need my new forever family to now make sure they keep me on monthly heartworm prevention from now on (heartworm is so common and I don't want it again!) and, like all dogs, I need a heartworm blood test done annually to make sure they never come back. I also need a family that will love and care for me forever and ever. I’m still young, so I'll need a family that will pay attention to me as humans seem to get tired of petting and rubbing my belly too quickly. This way they can share the love! As for care, I do need to be brushed and groomed on a regular basis, and I do like to be brushed but not so happy about the nail trim part. Please be willing to keep my ears cleaned, hair plucked out of them, and checked regularly and feed me good food and a few treats. Thanks for reading about me and hope to meet and kiss you soon! Note from foster Mom – Wyatt is as cute and cuddly as he thinks he is! Wyatt will run out of the house if given the chance, so a family with small kids may not be the best fit as he might run out the door. Wyatt could benefit from some basic training as well as teaching him to stay back from the door for his safety.
