Learn more about the Doberman Pinscher.
Nettie i s a calm, quiet, sweet, soul. She was homeless and living scared and alone for quite some time. Once rescued, she was spayed, received all her shots, and is now in search of a loving home. Nettie does not chew, bark, or potty in the house. She will not let a stranger approach your door or family without loud, deep, ferocious-sounding barks. Once you tell her it is ok, she will immediately back off. I don’t know where this comes from, but here in her foster home, we actually like that about her. We can always tell it’s someone we DON’T know at the door. She does not need crating. Even when left alone for hours, she will wait patiently until your return. She LOVES a doggie bed, and will sleep in her bed in whatever room you choose. She prefers to be in the room YOU are in, and when YOU move, SHE moves. She is not a “go fetch a ball” kind of companion. She is a loyal dog who loves to go on car rides, and loves to go on walks. She loves the security of a home, and she enjoys playing with other dogs. She is great with small or large dogs, as well as small children (as she doesn’t jump on them). We haven’t had the same answer from several vets in determining her breed, but we suspect there's some Doberman in there and we do know that if you are looking for a quiet, loving dog, she is your girl. She is about 3 years old and around 60 lbs. She’s a gentle soul who appears grateful for your kindness. You will love her.
