Please do not inquire about this pup without first reviewing all of the information we have provided below, including our adoption info. Adoption info can be found here in the last paragraph of this pet's profile or by visiting this direct link: http://dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption Nick was born into our rescue organization on 12/22/18; he is one of a total of seven in a litter of puppies. We believe he is primarily a Great Pyrenees/Australian Shepherd mix puppy who is currently about 48 lbs and is expected at this point to get anywhere from 65 to 80 lbs full grown. Nick is 100% puppy; he is learning what he can and cannot chew and is doing good with redirection. He is crate trained and working on his housetraining. He is a mellow sweetheart; loves his playtime, eating of course, and learning new tricks; however, he also loves his naps and relaxation time with his family. We recommend him for older considerate children and he is good with other dogs and fine with cats so far. Nick will need a family who has the time and patience to help him through his puppy phase in life, who will provide him a minimum of basic training, who will continue to keep him socialized with other people and other pets, and who will give him a lifetime commitment of love and care as an immediate part of the family. IMPORTANT: Other than, of course, our usual focus on an applicant being THE BEST match between a pup and a family; please review the basic requirements for adoption of this particular litter of babies, since they are young and will potentially be very large when full grown: 1) MUST have another dog in the home who will interact positively with and continue to help guide the puppy. Puppies this young need to continue learning canine observing/socializing behavior; this is in addition to, of course, committed guidance from the puppy's human family. 2) We will not consider rental living situations for this litter of puppies. 3) MUST have verifiable vet references of a current pet to include the usual: history of vaccinations being kept current; also history of BOTH annual blood heartworm testing being kept current and history of the pet being kept on monthly heartworm prevention. 4) We will not consider first-time pet owners for this litter. of puppies 5) Puppy must be an incorporated and social member of the family; we absolutely will NOT consider an outside dog situation or as a working/farm dog.
