Sweet Joey is a precious lab mix with an absolutely wonderful personality to match his cute face. Joey is extremely smart and loving. He loves to be near you and will curl up beside you or at your feet for as long as you’ll let him…even if it’s while you’re working at your computer, doing the dishes or lying beside you to watch TV. He also loves to have his belly rubbed. To look into Joey’s eyes…you know without question all he wants is to be loved. He’s quickly learning to walk on a leash, is crate trained and well on his way to being housetrained, too. Joey gets along great with other dogs, cats, children and even vets, too!
Joey and his brother Beau’s story is a really sad one. They were spotted early in the day sitting on the side of a lonely back road where, after hearing about them, I found them late that night in the very same spot…still patiently waiting and watching for the master who had abandoned them but would never return. Since they’ve been in foster care they've literally flourished and become absolutely wonderful, loving and playful dogs.
Joey is a little over a year old, fully grown, weighs 50 lbs and stands about approximately two feet tall. He’s current on all of his shots, already neutered and microchipped. Joey is such a wonderful dog and he deserves a family and home full of love where this time forever means just that…forever…never to be abandoned or lose his family again! Joey does not have to be adopted with his brother Beau but, if you want a built in playmate sure to give you lots of laughter watching them, I know he’ll be happy to bring his brother along. Either way, Joey is sure to bring his new family many, many years of love, happiness and lifelong loyalty!
