Laney is a very beautiful and sweet German Shepherd mix pup who is approximately 14 months old and approximately 58 lbs. She was lost and out on her own. A nice lady found her, brought her in, and tried everything to find her owner, but no one called for her. Laney does have some separation anxiety and she is cautious of strangers at first, but warms up quickly. Until she feels comfortable she does not like to be left alone in the backyard, most likely afraid she will be abandoned once again. When she thinks she is in trouble or unsure about what is going to happen (ie, pick her up to put her in the bathtub) she will drop to the ground and become dead weight in a very submissive manner. Then when you lift her up she has hesitation and yelps, but as she learns to trust again, and regains her confidence, this will go away. We can only imagine what kind of situation she came from. Laney loves being around people, loves snuggling, and loves to be indoors. She gets along great with other pups and children, is well behaved, is housetrained, doesn't get on furniture, and does not bark unnecessarily. Laney loves to play and she does tend to paw at very small dogs in attempts to play. She's not trying to hurt them, but it can in fact hurt. Laney seems to know she was rescued and is grateful. Overall she is just a great pup who came from some sort of bad circumstance that only she will ever know about. If you are interested in Laney, please contact DFW Pup Patrol Rescue at info@dfwpuppatrol.com. Her adoption fee is $200. She is current on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and is on monthly heartworm prevention. INTERNAL More about LaneyGood with Dogs, Good with Kids DFW Pup Patrol Rescue |
