ADOPTION PENDING!

As much as we don't like to have favorites....TooToo is definitely a favorite and is extremely special!!  We rescued TooToo from a local city kill shelter when he ran out of time and was about to be euthanized.  He was an absolute mess, could hardly tell the front of him from the back, and whew did he smell, but he was the sweetest boy and he couldn't get enough pets and love.  Right to the vet he went.  They had to shave him, but he didn't mind at all.  He so missed the affectionate touch of a human and he welcomed it with open paws.  After being thoroughly examined we only then began to understand just how much this little guy had gone thru.  At some point his jaw was broken and healed itself, all of his teeth were rotten, and he was ridden with infection from his gums up thru his sinus cavity, and also had very infected ears.  He had twine wrapped around his teeth that were barely hanging on and the twine had been there so long it was beginning to get moldy.  TooToo also was found to have a light case of heartworm.  But hold a grudge against people and feel sorry for himself?  Never!

TooToo is a very spirited, young at heart, confident little senior chap who is ready to be a devoted, loyal companion to that very special family or individual.  He has an inspiring and contagious attitude and is ready to get on with life.  It is very difficult to determine his exact age, but most likely between 10 and 12.  We think, with what we've seen, he has only lived half his life and is saving the best for last!  Though he is toothless now he has a health appetite and loves to smile without hesitation.  We believe heartworm treatment would be risky at his age, but with continued monthly heartworm prevention it can definitely be controlled.  TooToo still loves to play and go on walks, prancing like the spring chicken he feels he is, ready to meet the next person or pup or flower, or whatever is along the way.  TooToo is truly a gem and even just to meet him lifts one's spirits and makes their day!
