IMPORTANT NOTE: Please click on “Read More about this Pet” at the bottom for additional information regarding this pet and adoption details. Meet happy-go-lucky Jonah! He is approximately 7 months old and just under 50 lbs. We think he may be a Catahoula/Corgi mix with a unique coat and a shorter stocky build. However, don't let the short legs fool you! He can be pretty quick when he's outside tearing around with his foster brother. Jonah does enjoy playing with other dogs, but would probably be okay as an only dog too--more attention for him! He loves attention and will try to crawl into your lap or roll over on your feet for a belly rub to get it. He also loves to play with toys and will clown around by himself until someone gets up to play with him. Jonah walks nicely on a leash and doesn't fuss about wearing his harness. He does get a little over excited about seeing other dogs and kitties while on walks. (No cats in his foster home so we're not sure how he'd be with inside cats). So he needs someone with the patience and commitment to help him with his training and manners. He already knows sit and will come running when you call. He's eager to please and treat/praise motivated. He is housetrained, didn't have any accidents transitioning to his foster home. He is also crate trained and seems to understand it's his own little safe place; he goes in it by himself sometimes just to lay down. He might cry if he has to be on the opposite side of a closed door from you, but he doesn't cry in his crate and will sleep the night in there without a peep. Jonah's got a lot of love to give and can't wait to be your new best friend! If you are interested in adding this pup to your family, please fill out our Pre-Adoption Application.
