Smokey!! He is a very cute, mini Shih Tzu who is about 13 pounds and 5 ½ years of age. He is housetrained, and crate trained.  Unfortunately Smokey's previous owners had to rehome him because he was uncomfortable with the new baby in the house.

He is fairly quiet, and maybe a little timid, but not overly so. He loves to go for walks and is very friendly with all of the other dogs and people we meet while walking.

He is very playful, and will bring his soft toys up to one to start a tug of war. He will then chase it and bring it back some. He likes to be touched and petted, but does need some alone time also. We have found that if you do not bother, him he seems fine although it is possible that he might snap if surprised. We have handled him every which way and the only thing I can say is if you play a little rough with him he will use his mouth to grab, as most dogs do, but he has never tried to bite. He does not seem possessive. His foster sister can eat from his bowl, and can pick up a soft toy that he has been playing with!! We believe Smokey would be best with older children who are old enought to know to respect his space.
