Hi, I’m Star! I’m about two years old and around 40 lbs. The rescue folks think I’m probably an Australian shepherd mix. I’m so super cute – don’t you just love my one eye that is half brown and half blue? I’m a friendly, happy girl and am just FULL of energy. In fact, that’s why my old family didn’t want me anymore. They kept saying that I had way too much energy. I am a very active girl and have lots of enthusiasm for life, but I’m a great dog when I am getting enough exercise and mental stimulation. I do well with other dogs and my foster mom has been taking me to daycare several days a week so that I can have time to run around and play and get out some of my energy. I would love it if you had another dog so that I could have a friend and playmate. Rumor has it that I have lived with several cats before and I did just fine with that. I absolutely love people and am going to be your best friend. I love getting my ears scratched and my tummy rubbed. I like being close to my people and will curl up right beside your feet in the evening when I’m feeling tired. I am good with new people almost all of the time. Every once in awhile I do meet a man and get kind of scared at first. My foster mom thinks that maybe in my distant past there might have been someone who wasn’t very nice to me. I am crate trained and house trained and am doing pretty well learning how to walk on a leash without pulling. I also love showing off my tricks. I know how to shake your hand and how to play dead. I really am a sweet girl and just can’t wait to find my forever home!

All of our adoptable pups have an adoption fee of $200, regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 6 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention.
