Hi! My name is Lewis, but my foster Mom calls me "Lovable Lewis" because I just love to cuddle and be petted. I was rescued from an overfull, high-kill shelter after being surrendered by my owners. They said they didn't have time for me during the holidays! Can you believe it? I am about 20 lbs and around 2 years old, and I'm already house trained. Currently I'm in a foster home with 3 other pups and I get along fantastically with all of them. I really enjoy play wrestling and chasing them around the back yard. I like to growl when I play, but I'm just having a good time. There are also 2 small children in the house, and I love giving them kisses whenever I can. We don't have any cats at my house so my foster Mom isn't sure how I'd act around one. I don't shed very much either, which I know some people would really like. I eat right alongside the other dogs and haven't shown any food aggression, and I am learning how to walk on a leash. At night I sleep in a crate and sometimes during the day when I'm tired I go in there to take a nap. I get attached pretty quickly because I want a safe, stable home to call my own. My foster Mom doesn't let me up on the furniture which I used to be able to do. I'm learning to follow the rules though, and have gotten really good about it. I don't bark at the neighbor's dogs or at unusual noises, but I do bark when I hear my family coming home...I just get so excited!
