Hello everyone! My name is Winston and it probably should be Trouble – but only in a good way. I try to steal your corner of the couch and won’t move; even if you threaten to sit on me! I love my people sooo much that I try to burrow right into them (under their arm or around behind their back); wherever I need to be to be as close to them as possible. I am only 7 pounds of white fluff, at least when it all grows back, but I have a very big heart and it is full of love for my people. I do like to play with other dogs and even snuggle up very close with one of my foster parents’ other dogs, and I enjoy playing with toys as much as the next dog – but my heart just belongs to my peoples! I am about 1 to 1-1/2 years old so I probably won’t get any bigger - unless you feed me too much. They tell me I am probably a Maltese/Poodle mix, but I am really just a Lover mix as far as I'm concerned. I am crate trained, but honestly it isn’t my favorite place to be, and I am doing well with my housetraining – I have learned the doggie door and love to go out on my own and run through the yard. I would be an exceptional companion dog. Consider this my resume and I hope you will consider me if you have an opening in your home and in your heart for a very special little guy – I did say 7 pounds – right? Oh, and I forgot to mention I have a broken tail (an old healed injury, so I will always have a little bitty broken tail). All of our adoptable pups have an adoption fee of $200, regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 6 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention.
