Let me introduce myself, I am JAX!!

I am a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua Mix we believe, pretty handsome if I must say so myself!  I am about 2-1/2 years old and weigh approximately 9 pounds. The nice people at  DFW Pup Patrol came to my rescue and got me out of the shelter after my two friends were adopted and I was left scared and alone.  

I get along with other doggies, although bigger dogs scare me a little. I will do best in a home with at least one other pup around my size to play with. I love playing with  balls, wubbas and rope style toys.  Stuffed animals that squeak are fun too once in a while.  I love to snuggle in laps the most, but if you are up and  moving around I promise to follow you wherever I can.  I will watch you in the yard or in the kitchen, wherever you are, I want to be close to you. I am fine with men and women, but I get very nervous around small children and I growl at them. I know I'm not supposed to, but it would be best if I am not around them.

I have learned to walk with a leash, and just love to take walks.   I have been told I am a good boy and a very fast learner. I am potty trained and if I have to sleep in a crate at night that is OK.  I will cry for a few minutes first though because I would much rather snuggle in bed with you if you let me.  How does that sound to you? I promise not to  hog the blankets nor the pillow if I can just lay next to you!!  I just love to be next to my person.  Is that person you?

All of our adoptable pups have an adoption fee of $225, regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 6 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention.
