Cosmo was saved from a high kill shelter. Even though he had made it to the adoption floor, no one had shown any interest in him so he went "rescue only" and was in danger of being euthanized. Once we got Cosmo out of the shelter, we took him to the vet because he was coughing a lot. Turned out he was high heartworm positive and was having trouble breathing and coughing because of them! On top of that the poor guy had a terrible ear infection. Thank goodness now he is all fixed up and ready to find a furever family of his very own!

Cosmo is a big, beautiful 80 pound boy. He is very smart and has been working with a trainer while he is in boarding to learn manners and basic obedience. He loves taking his daily walks, and walks great on a training collar. He will even sit and wait patiently at the door before going out or before crossing the street. He is house trained, but is not too fond of the crate. (We are working on that so he learns that the crate is a good thing.) Cosmos is exceptionally smart and lives to please! He needs structure and guidance from his owners, and thrives with leadership. He gets along with other pups his size, but is a little too rough with small pups. He would be great with a even-tempered, calm dog or even as an only dog. He loves kids!!! Unfortunately he has been cat tested and not approved. He is not a water dog...he is afraid of thunderstorms and rain, and he is not a fan of baths. He absolutely loves car rides and does really well in the car. He is a big, goofy lovebug that is around 3 years old. Contact us to see how you can meet him!!

All of our adoptable pups have an adoption fee of $225, regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 6 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention.
